Seattle. A warm June evening. A group of acquaintances converge upon Wasabi Bistro, commandeering table after table as more and more are drawn in. Conversation leaps and sparks, crackling from one end of the group to the other. It was a terrific evening, made moreso by this evanescent raconteur, this country-hopping journeyman, this Ned Raggett.

The man knows how to relax, to enjoy, to observe from the perspective of delight.

And yes indeed, a very good person to have sushi and spirits with, as well as to watch Sonic Youth with. Her husband being an equally fine soul, all is clearly well. :-)

So I get to properly meet this woman and her husband in two days time. Clearly the world will tremble as we plot the conquest of this planet. Er, I’m sorry, I might be projecting again.

PetShop Girl finds terrific suggestions for reducing your ecological footprint! She knows about herbs and aromatherapy! She has fabulous taste in things musical and comical! And above all she has a heart of gold!

Their music has cheered me, energized me, justified me, seen me through times rotten and grand.

I was in high school when Little Criminals came out and Short People was all over the radio. That’s the first I hear of Randy Newman. He’s got so much wonderful stuff out there, from the chilling Louisiana 1927 to raucous I Love L.A.

Knitting! Theremin! Yoga! Tom Waits!!!! And, a fellow ILXor! Yay!

She has been to my old hometown (Brownsburg), and thought it was worth visiting!
